There is dinner, and then there is dinner with a ring of fire spinning a few metres from your table. Twice a week at Crystal Bay Beach Club, the beach in front of the restaurant turns into a stage and the fire dancers take over. It is the kind of thing you plan a whole evening around, and on Silver Beach it comes with the sand under your feet and the water a few steps away.
When it runs
Fire shows happen every Tuesday and Friday at 19:30. The performance lasts around twenty minutes and runs right on the sand in full view of the dining area, so there is genuinely no bad seat in the house. It goes ahead in most weather and only pauses for heavy rain. If your trip only overlaps with one Tuesday or Friday, that is the evening to keep free.
What actually happens
A performer usually opens with fire poi, the spinning weights on chains that leave long orange trails in the dark. From there it builds through staff, hoops and the odd burst of fire-breathing, all set to music, all close enough that you feel the heat on a still night. It is skilled rather than chaotic. The dancers hold a safe distance from the tables at every point, which is why it works for families as easily as it does for a couple over a bottle of wine.
How to get the best seat
The tables closest to the water give you the clearest view and the best photos, and they are the first to go on show nights. To be sure of one, arrive for dinner from around 18:30, or message us ahead on WhatsApp and we will hold a spot near the front. We confirm bookings within about thirty minutes, so you are not left wondering.
Come hungry
The kitchen runs full service straight through the show, so this is a proper dinner, not a snack with a spectacle. Order fresh seafood, Thai favourites, a wood-fired pizza or something for the whole table to share while you watch. Chicken dishes are halal-certified if that matters to your group. The bar keeps going late, so there is no rush to leave once the last torch goes out. See the full menu before you come.
Good to know
- The show is free to watch for anyone dining with us.
- Bring a phone or camera. The slow-shutter shots of the fire trails are worth the effort.
- Families are welcome. The performers keep a safe distance from the tables at all times.
- It is outdoors on the sand, so come as you are. Beach-casual is the whole point.
Make an evening of it
The best version of a fire-show night starts before the fire. Come down as the light goes gold over the bay, more on that in golden hour on Silver Beach, settle in for dinner, and let the show close it out. If you would rather not drive home afterwards, you are already there: check dates at the Beach Resort and the walk back to your room is about two minutes across the sand.
